Location. The Umstead Hotel and Spa is nestled against a three acre lake and located in Cary, N.C., adjacent to Umstead State Park. RBC Center sits three miles from the six story hotel. Four miles from the property is the North Carolina Museum of Art.
Hotel Features. Herons' restaurant menu features regional selections for breakfast and dinner, and serves lunch on the weekends. Dining is available amid a soft, amber lit environment in the Bar at Herons where flat screen televisions line the bar and an outdoor terrace overlooks a lake. The Umstead Hotel and Spa hosts a full service spa with private treatment rooms, saunas, spa tubs, steam rooms and a caf�. A heated outdoor pool includes fountains, a shallow lounging area and pool bar. The hotel's lakeside terrace showcases an outdoor fireplace. Live entertainment is featured in the hotel lobby on select afternoons. Fitness amenities include weight machines and cardio equipment with personal electronics. Guestrooms. Light filters into the 150 guestrooms of the Umstead Hotel and Spa through expansive windows. Beige walls are embellished with colorful prints. Floral arrangements accent mahogany stained wooden furniture in each room. Separate sitting and sleeping areas feature minibars. The Umstead Hotel and Spa features plasma televisions, cable television, clock radios with MP3 docking stations and wireless Internet access. Private bathrooms include bathrobes, slippers and deep soaking tubs.
