Location. The restored National Hotel is located in the South Beach Art Deco district of Miami Beach, Fla., and stands two blocks from Lincoln Road and the Miami Beach Convention Center.
Hotel Features. The hotel lobby features Art Deco d�cor and richly designed wood furnishings. The concierge desk is a precise replica of the original. An Art Deco theme extends to the hotel's eateries. Tamara, which is dedicated to Art Deco artist Tamara de Lempicka, presents tempting French fusion steak, seafood and lamb entr�es. D'Lounge offers specialty drinks and live entertainment. The Zee Pool Lounge serves poolside grilled fare, cocktails and specialty rums. The historic Oval Room boasts a vintage 1939 chrome chandelier and accommodates 100 guests, while additional function facilities are equipped to accommodate smaller venues. A full time production department coordinates fashion, music video, television and film shoots. A business center offers fax, photocopy and print services, and wired high speed and wireless Internet access are complimentary. The National Hotel houses two outdoor pools, including one of the most photographed pools in the world. This infinity pool extends 205 feet in length, is surrounded by tropical foliage, and is the site of complimentary weekend yoga sessions. A fitness center features free weights, a stationary bike, a treadmill, a stair machine and a weight station.
Guestrooms. The non smoking 13 story National Hotel offers 151 guestrooms equipped with complimentary wireless Internet access, DVD players, VCRs, and satellite television. Select accommodations afford Atlantic Ocean, pool or garden views. D�cor highlights include modern light toned wood furnishings. Beds feature pillow top mattresses and 300 thread count European sheets. Bathrooms contain bathrobes and slippers, and are stocked with Aveda products.
Expert Tip. If notified before 4 p.m., the hotel concierge can provide VIP access to many of South Beach's fashionable nightclubs. As an on site alternative, Zee Pool Lounge hosts some of Miami's top DJs Thursdays through Sundays.
